NECCN - year 1

Developing the network

The primary focus of year one centred on the development of relationships and trust between network schools, in order to successfully form a new professional learning community. We brought together schools from different parts of the region, meaning that schools were able to make connections, share BIG ideas and broad learning in a forum that would not normally be available to them. All schools entered into the Creativity Collaborative with a commitment to create change and with a shared vision – to explore approaches to embed teaching for creativity across the curriculum.

A child in a blue sweater writes on a large sheet of paper divided into sections by black lines. Using a black pen with white stars, the child writes colorful words such as 'loudest whizzes,' 'most colorful,' and 'brightest.' The table also holds an orange pen, a black pen with purple accents, notebooks, and a yellow container labeled 'ypo.'

Other years

Developing the network

Three children in blue school uniforms are seated at a table, engaged in a creative activity. The child on the left, wearing glasses, holds a black object, possibly a pen or marker. The child in the middle, with long hair, is leaning forward and partially obscured. The child on the right is drawing on paper with a pencil or crayon.

Further developing pedagogical approaches and looking at youth voice

A classroom with children seated at tables, working on large sheets of paper using markers. Two adults—one in a blue shirt and one in a red checkered shirt—are assisting them. A projector screen at the front displays the text 'Young Creativity Champions.' Natural light enters through tall windows on the left.

Expanding the network

Three students in school uniforms stand in a row, each holding a red clipboard and writing on it. The background features a blue and white gradient wall, slightly out of focus.
