Elliot Foundation - year 3

Elliot Foundation - year 3

Embedding the work

Year three was about us embedding the work. We had worked hard to set up the programmes in each school so in year two the partnership between the school and the creative practitioner deepened. Then in year three we met with all our collaborative schools early in the September to explore ways we can recognise creativity in the classroom and what impact might look like in the final year. Again, half of the schools were working with Stan’s Cafe on curriculum-focused programmes which aimed to support teachers in applying creativity in their own teaching which can be utilised after this project ends. The other half worked with Open Theatre on tailored support for groups of children and staff with the goal of up skilling staff across the year so they could use these independently following the end of this programme.

As a network, we have focused on the legacy of this work. How will our schools apply this learning and embed it after 2024?

Other years

In Year 1, the Elliot Foundation Creativity Collaborative explored creative teaching, built partnerships, and developed a shared vision to empower teachers and unlock learners’ creative potential.

Year two was a year of discovery, where schools explored creative teaching, deepened partnerships, and shifted focus from arts to pedagogy through hands-on experiences and reflection.

In Year 3, the focus was on embedding creative practices, strengthening partnerships, and preparing schools to sustain the work beyond 2024.
